Bloodbowl is a table top miniature game roughly based on American football in a fantasy setting. Two players can choose from an assortment of teams including humans, orcs, elves, dwarves, and many more. Victory is determined by who can move a ball into an opponents in zone and score the most touchdowns.
The Bloodbowl core game comes with everything you need to start playing. It comes with a human and orc team, the pitch, dice, and all the rules needed to get playing. Other teams are available separately with new teams being released regularly.
Bloodbowl supports league play which is a series of linked games where your players earn experience, go up in level and learn valuable skills for future game. During the course of play your team will likely endure casualties. Players get injured and occasionally killed playing the great sport of Bloodbowl. In a league setting this means that a player who is killed on the pitch can never return in future games, so be careful with those high level players. Even injured players can take on permanent penalties for future games. At the end of a leagues season there will be a championship game to determine who’s the best of the best. The victorious team takes home the title and all the glory that comes with being Bloodbowl champion
League play starts at 6:00 pm on Wednesday April 19th at the Iowa City Hobby Corner.
